House MD Series Finale Project: Questionnaire (with sample answers in italics)
1) When did you start watching House?
I started watching in my first year at the university (2006). I saw an episode on the Dutch television, I can’t remember which one, but a couple of months later I saw whole season 1 and 2, and I started to watch the episodes online. I just couldn’t wait.
And now when I graduated next summer, I will say goodbye to the university and goodbye to House, an end of an era.
2) What was your first impression?
I totally love detectives series and some other medical dramas, and now there was this great combination!.
3) Why did you keep watching?
I kept watching because I was somehow fascinated by House's personality. And I just love drama and wittiness.
4) You hated it when... Why?
I hated when there were only 16 episodes in season 4, but the finale made it all up. I cry
every time I see WH or HH. And then there is the winter and summer hiatus. House is mydrug, and I can’t be without too long.
On the show I hated it that Cuddy dumped House so easily. She should have given him a real chance!
5) You loved it when... Why?
When House and Wilson were together. They were a great combination. No Sherlock
without Watson, and no House without Wilson. And I loved to see that during the seasons more of House’s personality and past was revealed and explained.
6) Why House mattered to you?
It makes me (still does) forget my sorrows. It makes me laugh, cry, get angry, smile etc.
Sometimes I feel related to House, I have the feeling that we have the same feelings in some situations and we share the same humour.
7) What will you miss?
Getting up early on Tuesday morning to watch the new episode of House, just before
college. The weird feeling in my gut when I press the play button, especially before the
season finale. The verbal jokes and hints to other films that you discover after seeing an episode twice or even more. And the great discussions with other fanatics about those clues.
Actually, I will miss everything: the show, the discussions, the whole shebang.
8) What will you remember?
Everything, and thank God there is something called DVD. The shelf in my closet will only have 8 boxes with DVDs, but sadly the feeling before a new episode will disappear.
House will always be connected with my time in college, and I will always remember it.
