I started watching House in September 2006, when episode 1x21 “Three Stories” first aired onGerman TV.
I thought finally a medical series that actually IS about medicine.I kept watching because House’s character & the medical mysteries fascinated me & this show wasdifferent to everything else I had seen on TV before.
I hated it when House was self-destructive.
I loved it to see House’s incredible profound looks when he’s smiling as well as when he’s thoughtful, House can tell us so much without saying a word.
House mattered to me because he never gives up to save his patients lives, cost what it may. Houseis a complex personality, at first sight a cold & arrogant genius but inside a very vulnerable man.
I will miss House’s look when he finally got the intuition to solve the case, funny clinic patients,
House/ Wilson/ Cuddy interactions, House playing his instruments, the tours through the body when they revealed the diagnosis in the end and the thrill of anticipation before a new episode of House airs.
I will remember hundreds of sleepless nights because of watching House live at 2am, House seminars at university, great discussions with House fans all around the world, Kath Lingenfelter’s wonderful presentation in Berlin and so much more…
